A Barcelona born and Filipina bred beauty, Alexandra Masangkay is about as talented and sultry as they come! When she’s not burning up the screen, she’s actually a very accomplished singer and songwriter in her native Spain, performing to sold-out crowds after competing in 2011 in the Spanish version of American Idol, Operación Triunfo. Lucky for us though, this beauty has also focused on her acting career, posing as both a brunette and a blonde. “Acting has been a precious discovery that has helped me professionally and personally. I’ve always been sensitive and emotional—and acting helped me to balance myself,” she’s said of her thespian urges. She even gave up boobage as the character Miharu, basking in a red-lit room in the award-winning horror, sci-fi, thriller movie The Platform (2019), which US audiences can enjoy on Netflix. Alexandra had her first regular series gig as Alexandra in Dreamland in 2014, where she also performed music in half the episodes she appeared in. She followed that up with the huge role of Carolina in Yo quisiera, or I Would, from 2015-2016. She starred as Teresa in the Netflix movie 1898: Our Last Men in the Philippines(2016), and is included on the soundtrack with the song “Yo Te Diré.” Back on the little screen, she starred as Irene in + de 100 Mentiras, or + Than 100 Lies, from 2018-2019, then moved back to the silver screen in the role of Wendy in the feature film Project Emperor (2022).
